The current sanctuary was dedicated in 1964. The education wing was dedicated in 1959. While there have been various renovation projects over the years, we are embarking on the first wholesale renovation of the church since the 1980’s. The current timetable will see the renovations finished by Christmas.

All of the renovations are designed to make the building more inviting and more flexible as our congregation grows. Highlights of the renovations include:

Phase One

June 2026

• Rebuilding the Henderson Hall (the downstairs social hall) restrooms, including reconfiguring the handicap bathroom.
• Updating the kitchen to better support both our food ministry and meals for our church family.
• Refurbish the terrazzo floor to bring it back to life.
• Update the AV system to support expanded use of Henderson Hall, including for church services while the sanctuary is being renovated.

Phase Two

July – December 2026

• Relamp the sanctuary with LED lighting. The sanctuary was last relamped a decade ago.
• Frame and exterior maintenance of the stained glass windows.
• New flooring in the sanctuary, replacing both the carpet and the original tile flooring.
• Interior painting.
• Create a dedicated sound / AV booth in the balcony to replace the existing tables and consoles.
• Update the sound and AV gear as necessary.
• Rebuild the chancel area to provide more flexibility for things like presentations by our children and youth. The chancel changes will also make it possible for us to better host the Thursday Musicale concerts and other similar events.
• Reinstall the existing pews with more space between pews and more spots for folks with mobility issues.
• Expand the Narthex area to make a better first impression when people first enter the church.
• Replace both bathrooms at the back of the church with new handicap friendly bathrooms.
• Various other items to improve handicap access.
• Replace the existing stairs situated between the sanctuary and the education building.
