After prayer and conversation, the leadership at First United Methodist Church of New Port Richey has no interest in leaving our denomination. There are United Methodist churches in our area that are leaving to become independent churches or join other Methodist expressions including Nazarene, Wesleyan, or the Global Methodist Church. The United Methodist Church is not perfect, but we believe in its message of grace and an open communion table.
